What an incredible wedding this was! Kaitlin and Jonathon Griffin married at Royal Perth Yacht Club, on the banks of Perth's lovely Swan River, overlooking the CBD. Kaitlin wore an amazing Pallas Couture gown which fitted her like a glove. Ivy Flowers designed all the florals including a beautiful (and massive!) bridal bouquet.

The ceremony included loads of kiddlywinks as Kaitlin is a teacher and they quite happily threw rose petals all over the couple during the recessional. I love seeing a groom filled with emotion upon seeing his bride and Jono was no exception, along with his lovely mum who was a little overcome as well. This will be me one day, watching my boys get married! gah!

We had a casual, relaxed portrait session at the little park opposite the Old Brewery on Mounts Bay Road and man, there was a gorgeous shaft of light coming down between the big fig tree and the foliage and I exploited that as much as possible. It was devine, with little dust bunnies floating down in the light. One of the most beautiful things I've ever seen as it enveloped Jono and Kaitlin :)

Then we popped to Kings Park for some more lovely backlit portraits along the bush trails near the Synergy parkland but well away from the tourists. Being a trail runner, I love running around Kings Park and finding new spots! Good way to do a recce mission.

Royal Perth Yacht Club has a great balcony and pre dinner drinks bar for guests before entering the reception and I managed to sneak in and get some shots of the set up - loved the gold chairs! - of course organised and styled by Ivy Flowers. Jonathon and Kaitlin entered shortly after with their bridal party. With the sun setting quickly over the river, I grabbed them again for some sunset portraits just in front of the yacht club on the little beach area. So glad we did this!

A great relaxed reception ensued, with some heartfelt speeches and a fabulous espresso martini/cake/dessert buffet after the first dance :)
